Contextual Overview:
Galerija 12 is developing two major exhibitions for the Specialized Expo taking place in Belgrade in 2027. We have conceived, designed and are currently producing the massive immersive experiences for the “Power of Play” and “Play for Progress” thematic pavilions. The ambitious visitor journeys stemmed from the curatorial foundations and approach to experiential design we established during the Recognition Dossier stage, in which we participated as creative consultants.
The pavilions will explore and celebrate the power of play in unlocking human invention and creation, while engaging the audience with awe-inspiring, fun-infused, and play-inspired design elements. By crafting the experiences from narrative, spatial and media design to execution that includes producing linear media, interactives, fit-out and bespoke artefacts and audiovisual systems, we aim to create a cohesive visitor experience elevated by attention to detail at every stage of development.
Technological Overview:
The “Play for Progress” pavilion is constructed as a testament to the power of play to drive human progress by showcasing how playful exploration can fuel groundbreaking discoveries and inspire a broad audience to explore the unique relationship between play, invention, and creation. At the heart of the “Power of Play” pavilion is a celebration of play as a phenomenon that has captivated human minds for millennia. By weaving together scientific insight, personal narratives, and playful engagement, the journey will unravel the mysteries of play and rekindle a love for it in every visitor.
We are developing a series of complex technical pipelines, novel creative technology solutions and bespoke fabrication and artisanal techniques to support the robust narrative design and a wide range of exhibit typologies. Our rapid prototyping capabilities and extensive experiential design experience enable us to champion novel display technologies and interaction mechanisms throughout the exhibitions.
