Contextual Overview:
Galerija 12 has contributed to numerous museums, exhibitions, festivals and theater plays in cultural institutions across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, including in such cities as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, Shanghai, Oslo, Prague and Belgrade. Whether it be for the World Expo, Nobel Peace Center, the Prague Quadrennial, the Telenor Innovation Center or the Museum of the Future and Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, Galerija 12’s contributions to museums, expos, theater and festivals provide visitors with unique and transformative experiences that leave everlasting impressions. Within the context of museums, festivals and exhibitions across global cultural hubs, Galerija 12’s signature approach has been an innovative combination of creative technologies and narrative design that generates unique experiences.
We have developed concepts and engineered visitor journeys for numerous exhibitions that traversed topics ranging from speculative futures and posthumanity to literature and historical explorations, human play and species de-extinction. Our work relied on meticulous research on these topics to create exciting storytelling and never-before-seen experiences for audiences. We have also performed cultural engineering and creative consultancy for cultural institutions. From a production standpoint, our installations often feature a combination of dynamic kinetic sculptures and digital or interactive elements, all enabled by custom-made creative tech. Our work includes video design for several theater plays and projection mapping on urban architecture.
